Barb Tolchinsky has been working in glass for approximately fifty years, which she finds unbelievable. She is a glassblower turned fuser, always testing and learning new ways to work with glass.

Glass is my passion, it centers me, helps me find fluidity and serenity in my life and art.  Glass is forever testing you:  did it fire the way I wanted, did it crack, and did the kiln have problems.  It always surprises me, good or bad.

Currently I am working with creating reactions in my glass, using silver and the copper used in creating the sheet of glass.  I also explore adding dimension and texture in my glass.
