Feather Agate Shadowbox Necklace w/ GarnetRegular price $146.00
The inclusion lines of Feather Agate, also known as Plume Agate, are remarkable and frequently resemble long, flowing feathers. One of the oldest stones found on earth is agate. Between the third and fourth centuries B.C., the Greek philosopher Theophrastus gave it its name. Agate has several functions when separated from its host rock, including usage as precision pendulums, mortar and pestles, and tools for burnishing leather. Many agate specimens grow on pre-existing rocks.
Garnets are a category of minerals that are closely related and come in practically every color. Vivid orange to orangy red are the finest hues for spessartine. It's unusual for spessartine to have no apparent inclusions in the eye. The dazzling stone is created by the strong hue, lack of inclusions, and expert cutting.
